Plot
Kazuma Satou, hikikomori and otaku of anime, manga and videogames, one day like many dies in an attempt to save a girl from a car accident. Arriving in the afterlife he meets a girl named Aqua who introduces herself to him as the goddess assigned to those who arrive there after death. In addition to going to heaven or reincarnating, the goddess proposes an alternative solution to Kazuma: to be sent to a fantasy world to defeat the Demon King who in that dimension is afflicting the population and undermining the balance of reincarnations. After teasing Kazuma about the circumstances of his death, she makes a further concession: "Choose any skill or anything you like and you can take it with you to fulfill your mission", but Kazuma throws her off by saying "... So, I choose you. ". The two are thus transported into a typically fantasy world similar to that of role-playing video games, but Kazuma and Aqua find themselves there without money or special skills and will have to start their career as adventurers from level 1 and accumulating experience.
